18-Year-Old High School Student Tragically Dies Weeks After Collapsing At High School Graduation

The town is in mourning after the tragic death of 18-year-old Sienna Stewart, who collapsed during her graduation ceremony. Sienna had undergone a heart transplant at age 7 due to severe cardiomyopathy and had led a relatively normal life for years. However, after her condition worsened, she was diagnosed with heart failure in April.

On May 23, 2024, during her graduation, Sienna fainted but insisted on walking across the stage, as she had missed her prom due to hospital stays. Sadly, she passed away on June 12, just weeks after receiving her diploma. Sienna had planned to study ultrasound tech in college this fall. Her mother expressed pride in her strength, despite the pain she endured.
