Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare, tragically passed away in a targeted shooting outside the New York Hilton on December 4, 2024.
The 50-year-old executive was on his way to an investor conference when a gunman approached him from behind and fired multiple shots.
Despite receiving immediate medical care, Brian was declared dead at Mount Sinai West. The assailant fled the scene, initially on foot and then on a rental bike.
Authorities have confirmed Brian had received threats before the incident, though the details remain unclear.
