Gary Sinise, famous for his role in Forrest Gump, is grieving the loss of his son, McCanna “Mac” Sinise, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at 33 after a five-and-a-half-year battle with Chordoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Diagnosed in 2018, Mac faced numerous challenges as the cancer recurred, leading to his paralysis. Despite his illness, Mac continued to pursue his passion for music, completing an album titled Resurrection & Revival just before his death. Gary shared the heartbreaking news on the Gary Sinise Foundation website, expressing deep sorrow and pride in his son’s resilience. Mac’s music and spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him.
