Political analyst Lou Dobbs passed away at 78. Known for his time at CNN and Fox News, he was a controversial figure, especially regarding his comments on Barack Obama.
Former President Donald Trump praised Dobbs on Truth Social, calling him “an incredible talent” and a “friend.”
Dobbs began his career in radio before moving to television in the 1970s, becoming one of CNN’s first reporters and hosting Moneyline in 1980. He left CNN in 2009 due to controversy over his immigration coverage and later hosted “Lou Dobbs Tonight” on Fox Business until its cancellation in 2021.
Fox News Media acknowledged his contributions to cable news, and he is survived by his wife, Debi, and their six children.
