Scientists Are Encouraging Parents To Keep Their Kids’ Baby Teeth

Parents are encouraged to keep their children’s lost baby teeth, not just for sentimental reasons, but because of the valuable stem cells they contain. These stem cells can be used to treat diseases like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and certain cancers, offering an alternative to long waits for bone marrow matches. Tooth Bank and similar organizations can store baby teeth safely for future use, ensuring the stem cells remain viable. Even wisdom teeth can be stored for potential use. Although no one wants to think about serious illness, storing these teeth can play a crucial role in future medical treatments.
