Hayden Howard was horrified to find her dog, Jackson, an English Mastiff, covered in bullet holes after playing in the backyard. Initially thinking he had insect bites, she soon realized he had been shot multiple times with a BB gun. At the vet, 27 bullets were removed, but 20 others were left inside Jackson’s body, bringing the total to over 70 shots. The vet called it one of the worst cases of animal cruelty he’d seen. Police traced the shots to a neighbor’s yard, where they found a BB gun, pellets, and drugs. The suspect was arrested, and it’s hoped they receive a lengthy prison sentence. Despite the trauma, Jackson is recovering well.
