Tragedy in Hollywood: Beloved Actress Dies as LA Wildfires Destroy Her Home

Dalyce Curry, a 95-year-old Hollywood actress, was tragically found dead in her Los Angeles home after it was destroyed by wildfires. Curry, known for her iconic roles in Lady Sings the Blues (1972), The Ten Commandments (1956), and The Blues Brothers (1980), had retired from acting but remained a beloved figure in Hollywood.

The actress was discovered at around 6 p.m. on Sunday in her home in Altadena, a neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles. The wildfires that have devastated the area also claimed her life, as Curry had succumbed to the flames.

Earlier, her family had reported her missing when they couldn’t locate her at an evacuation center. The last time Curry was seen was on Tuesday, which also marked the day the Eaton Fire began spreading across the region.

The heartbreaking loss of Dalyce Curry highlights the devastating impact of the wildfires on both lives and properties in Los Angeles County.
