Trump Touts ‘Very Strong’ Senate GOP Meeting On Legislative Plan

After a 100-minute meeting with Senate Republicans, President-elect Donald Trump praised the “very strong” discussion on his agenda. At the U.S. Capitol, Trump briefly spoke with reporters near Jimmy Carter’s memorial, addressing topics like California wildfires, border security, and Liz Cheney.

When asked about working with Governor Gavin Newsom, Trump responded, “Oh sure,” expressing his willingness to provide federal aid.

Trump also criticized California’s water management, claiming water was being diverted to protect the smelt fish, leaving places like Los Angeles without enough water for fire hydrants. “It’s really unfortunate,” he said, adding, “We will accomplish that. Finally, it will be finished.”

His comments reflect his focus on addressing key issues like water scarcity and disaster response.
