U.S. Authorities On Lookout for ‘Lone Wolf’ Attacks At Trump Inauguration

Ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday, security measures in Washington, D.C., have been significantly heightened due to concerns over potential threats. Authorities have issued warnings for attendees to remain vigilant for possible “lone wolf” attacks.

The swearing-in ceremony has been moved indoors, supposedly due to a forecast of extreme cold temperatures in the capital. However, officials have expressed continued concerns about security, particularly following two incidents during Trump’s campaign where he was targeted, including a near-death experience when a sniper’s bullet grazed him in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.

Despite the weather-related change of venue, the heightened security reflects ongoing fears of potential attacks. Authorities are taking no chances as Trump’s inauguration approaches.

As the event draws closer, law enforcement agencies remain on high alert, ensuring the safety of those in attendance and responding to potential threats.
