Security has been ramped up by federal, state, and local authorities ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday. However, officials have still issued warnings about the possibility of “lone wolf” attacks during the event.
In response to forecasts predicting extremely cold temperatures, Trump’s swearing-in ceremony has been moved indoors. Despite the change, concerns remain about potential threats, especially following two prior assassination attempts on Trump during his campaign.
The most alarming of these incidents occurred in July, when a sniper’s bullet narrowly missed Trump in Butler, Pa. This close call heightened security measures for his upcoming inauguration.
Authorities are taking no chances, urging anyone attending the event to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
