udson Keith Hoover, 50, pleaded guilty to the murder of his 38-year-old wife, Rebecca Ruth Hoover, to spare their eight-year-old son from testifying.

Rebecca had been missing since August 2, and Judson filed for divorce the following day.

The case came to light after their son told a school counselor he had witnessed the crime.

Rebecca’s mother reported her missing on August 4, prompting an investigation. Surveillance footage showed Judson moving what appeared to be a body on August 4 and later transferring it to another storage unit. Rebecca’s body was eventually recovered, and Judson was arrested. He entered his guilty plea on the same day charges were filed
