Jill Biden reveals she sent private note to Melania Trump after she broke major First Lady tradition

After Donald Trump’s election win, Jill Biden invited Melania Trump for the traditional White House tea, but Melania declined. The two First Ladies didn’t meet until January at Jimmy Carter’s state funeral, where Melania thanked Jill during pleasantries.

In a December interview, Melania said the first White House transition was challenging, but the second one would be smoother as she now had all the necessary information.

When asked about posing for magazine covers as First Lady, Melania, a former model, said it wasn’t a priority, focusing instead on more important matters, which some saw as a subtle jab at Jill Biden, who appeared on Vogue’s cover.
