Admiral Linda Lee Fagan, the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, has been relieved of her duties due to issues surrounding border security, recruitment, and trust.
A senior DHS official confirmed the dismissal to Fox News.
Acting Secretary of Homeland Security, Benjamine Huffman, made the decision to terminate Fagan, who is 61 years old.
The decision comes amidst ongoing concerns regarding the Coast Guard’s performance and leadership.
