Girl, 16, Found Dead In Starbucks Bathroom, Then Customers See What’s Beside Her Body

In August 2016, 16-year-old Gwynevere Staddon was found dead from a suspected overdose in a Starbucks bathroom in Port Moody. Emergency responders couldn’t revive her, and drugs and paraphernalia were found nearby.

Her mother, Veronica, suspects fentanyl was the cause, though the official cause of death is pending. She expressed her grief on Facebook, saying her heart is “breaking” over the loss of her daughter.

Veronica shared that Gwynevere had struggled with substance abuse and had been sober for three weeks before her death.

Despite claiming she had quit, Gwynevere relapsed, thinking “one more time” wouldn’t hurt—and that proved to be fatal.
