While shopping, a young man noticed an elderly woman following him around. She eventually approached him at checkout and explained, “You look so much like my late son.”
She made an unusual request, asking him to say, “Goodbye, Mom,” as she left the store, which he kindly did. She smiled and waved as she departed.
After paying for his groceries, the man was shocked when the total came to $121.85. “Why so much? I only bought five things!” he asked.
The clerk replied, “Well, your mother said you’d be paying for her things too.”
