After 3 painful years of infertility, she becomes pregnant – but what’s inside her belly isn’t what people expected

Desiree and Ryan Fortin, college sweethearts married since 2009, faced years of infertility struggles due to Desiree’s health issues, including polycystic ovarian syndrome. After three painful years of trying, they turned to in-vitro fertilization (IVF), and were thrilled when Desiree finally became pregnant.

To their surprise, the IVF resulted in triplets! However, doctors warned that Desiree, being thin and short, might not be able to carry all three babies to term. But against the odds, the Fortin triplets—Sawyer, Jack, and Charlize—were born healthy at 34 weeks via C-section in 2015.

Although Desiree had some complications post-delivery, the babies thrived and were home after two weeks in the NICU. Parenting triplets proved challenging, especially with severe reflux and colic, but the family pushed through. Now, the triplets are 7 years old, and the family is growing again, with Desiree and Ryan expecting another child.

Desiree shares her journey on Instagram, where she has 150K followers, offering hope to others struggling with infertility.
