For more than fifteen years, Wendy Auger of Rochester, New Hampshire, drove with a vanity plate that made strangers smile. The plate read “PB4WEGO,” a playful abbreviation for the phrase countless parents have said before leaving home with children: “Pee before we go.” To Wendy, it was never political, offensive, or controversial. It represented family road trips, raising four children, and the familiar chaos of trying to get everyone out the door on time. Over the years, the plate became part of her identity, regularly starting friendly conversations with people who immediately understood the joke.
