The happiest moment of my life quickly became one of the most confusing when my wife Natalie and I discovered a cruel message spray-painted across my car after a doctor’s appointment. We had just heard our baby’s heartbeat for the first time and were celebrating the future we were building together when we saw the words, “Hope She Was Worth It,” written across the vehicle like an accusation.
