What Bre.ast Size Really Reveals — A Guide to Hormonal Health for Women Over 60

Breast size alone is not a reliable measure of hormonal health. Larger or smaller breasts do not automatically indicate whether estrogen, progesterone, or other hormone levels are “good” or “bad,” and normal hormonal changes after menopause can affect women differently.

What matters more are new or unusual changes, such as a sudden difference in size, a new lump, persistent pain, nipple discharge, skin dimpling, or changes affecting only one breast. These symptoms should be evaluated rather than attributed simply to aging or hormones.

Women over 60 should focus on overall breast awareness, routine medical care, and recommended breast cancer screening. Hormonal health is best assessed through symptoms, medical history, examination, and appropriate testing—not by breast size alone.
