Theodore Sloan, the lawyer Walter had trusted for years, arrived at Gloria’s home carrying a folder of his own. Bianca immediately became nervous, while Kevin looked pale and uncomfortable. Gloria calmly introduced Theodore as the attorney who had handled her and Walter’s legal affairs and explained that, since Bianca and Kevin expected her to sign important documents that morning, she wanted everything reviewed properly and transparently. Theodore refused to let Gloria sign anything until he had read every page aloud. Bianca and Kevin suggested postponing the discussion, but Gloria would not allow it.
