Neon or highly vibrant shades, including bright pink, yellow, green, and orange, can also appear too cheerful or energetic for a solemn occasion. Likewise, shiny metallics such as gold, silver, sequins, or glittering fabrics may feel more suited to parties and celebrations than mourning.
A safer choice is usually simple, understated clothing in darker or muted tones such as black, navy, gray, brown, or other soft colors.
