Keep children and pets away from the area and, if possible, close the snake inside one room without approaching it. Do not try to handle, trap, or kill it unless you are trained to do so.
Contact local animal control, wildlife rescue, or a professional snake remover who can safely identify and remove the animal. If someone is bitten, seek medical help immediately rather than trying home remedies.
After the snake is removed, check for gaps around doors, windows, pipes, vents, and foundations. Sealing entry points and reducing rodents or clutter around the home can make future snake visits less likely.
