For many people, worn hands are simply the result of hard work. Mechanics, cleaners, construction workers, farmers, and others may carry marks that are difficult to remove because their jobs demand constant physical effort.
The problem is that society often praises hard work while judging the visible effects it leaves behind. Not everyone has the time, money, or energy to maintain a perfectly polished appearance after long days spent working and providing for others.
Instead of using someone’s hands as evidence against them, they can be seen as signs of effort, sacrifice, and responsibility. A person’s dignity cannot be measured by clean nails or smooth skin, and appearances rarely tell the whole story.
