The girl, Julie, explained that her mother had left the previous day and never returned. Even more worrying, Julie was alone, frightened, and unable to walk without her wheelchair. After getting her address, Alan and his mother rushed to the apartment, where they found the child hungry and struggling by herself. They promised Julie they would help find her mother and began searching for answers.
Alan soon discovered a report about a woman who had been struck by a car and taken to the hospital in critical condition. The injured woman appeared to match Julie’s mother, Victoria.
