At first, she thought it was simply bad luck, but the same thing kept happening. He never seemed worried about bringing money, and his children freely ordered appetizers, expensive meals, drinks, and desserts. Eventually, she realized that he appeared to expect her to cover the cost every time, and she began wondering whether his forgotten card was really an accident.
During their next family dinner, she decided to test him. Before leaving home, she intentionally left her own wallet behind. When the large bill arrived, her boyfriend once again announced that he had forgotten his card.
