Looking through the transparent water, I could see much more of the lakebed than usual. That’s when I spotted something unexpected: dozens of round objects scattered across the bottom, with several appearing in small groups. Their shapes looked unusually smooth and similar to one another, making them seem different from the ordinary rocks and natural debris surrounding them.
I stood at the shoreline for several minutes trying to understand what I was seeing. From where I stood, it was impossible to determine their exact size, material, or even their true color beneath the water. I wondered whether they could be unusual stones shaped by years of water movement, some type of plant formation, or perhaps remnants connected to the history and construction of the artificial lake.
I eventually continued my walk without finding an explanation, but the sight stayed with me. The lake looked as peaceful and familiar as ever, yet something strange had apparently been sitting unnoticed beneath its surface. I still don’t know exactly what those objects were or how long they had been there. Sometimes the most memorable discoveries aren’t made in distant or exotic places—they’re hidden somewhere familiar, waiting for the right conditions to finally become visible.
