Linda had raised her children almost entirely alone after her husband abandoned the family and took their savings. She worked two jobs to provide for them, sacrificing her own comfort for their futures. Now, on a milestone birthday, she feared that all those years of devotion had been forgotten.
Suddenly, a police officer knocked on her door carrying a handwritten note from her son Grant. It instructed her not to call anyone or ask questions, but simply to accompany the officer. Terrified that something had happened to her children, Linda entered the police car, desperately hoping they were safe.
As they drove through Fort Wayne, the officer reassured Linda that none of her children were injured.
