Our regular delivery driver, Andre, had been visiting our home for months. Sometimes, he spoke directly into our Ring doorbell camera, apparently trying to tell us something. Unfortunately, the microphone wasn’t working, so we never heard his messages. Then one Thursday afternoon, Andre noticed something suspicious near our trash cans and suddenly became alarmed.
While I was at work, my phone alerted me that someone was at our front door. I opened the camera feed and watched Andre deliver two packages before stopping near the driveway. He examined something beside the garbage, rushed back to his truck, and returned with a piece of cardboard. He quickly wrote a warning and held it directly in front of the camera: “CHECK YOUR TRASH CAN.”
Terrified, I immediately called Megan to ask about my son. She calmly assured me that he had eaten lunch and was sleeping peacefully. Although her voice sounded completely normal, Andre’s urgent warning made me increasingly suspicious. I contacted Ryan, explained everything, and we both rushed home from work. We had no idea what Andre had discovered, but we knew we needed to find out immediately.
