Allie Rae Earns Praise on The Voice as an Audience Vote Keeps Her Hopes Alive

Allie Rae impressed the coaches on The Voice with a performance of Lainey Wilson’s “4x4xU,” but the 15-year-old did not secure an automatic place in the Live Shows. Her next chance to advance rested with viewers, who could select one Cut Week contestant for the final spot in the Top 13.

The performance came after Rae had already made it through two stages of the competition. During her Blind Audition, she sang Alannah Myles’ “Black Velvet,” prompting Riley Green to turn his chair and use his “First In” button. That secured her a place on his team before Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah could choose her.

Rae then competed against teammate Harmony McKee in the Battle Rounds. They performed Miranda Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart,” and Green picked Rae to move forward. The coach described the battle as one of his favorites, sending her into Cut Week, the Season 30 stage that replaced the Knockouts and Playoffs.

Praise, then a tough decision

In the November 3 episode, each coach first named two artists to advance. Green selected Cade Mower and sister duo Ferryn & Brinkley, leaving five members of Team Riley, including Rae, to compete for the team’s last Live Show place.

Rae delivered “4x4xU” with energy and conviction, ending on a powerful note. Clarkson praised the teenager’s ability and said she was already far ahead for her age, while encouraging her about her future in music.

Green also praised Rae, calling her “a little mini Reba.” He highlighted her forceful performance and the growth in her stage presence since her Blind Audition.

Green ultimately chose Joe Henley for the team’s final Live Show spot, so Rae was not among the contestants selected by their coaches. But Cut Week’s audience vote offered another route forward: viewers could choose one of the 16 contestants who had been cut to claim the remaining place in the Top 13.

That left Rae’s competition journey unresolved at the time of the report. Her strong showing had earned praise from both Green and Clarkson, but advancing beyond Cut Week depended on the audience vote.
