Stop cheating Johnny

Mr. Johnson showed him their nearly identical exam papers, including the same unusual mistakes. Johnny claimed they had studied together, but Mary denied it. The teacher then revealed a photograph showing Johnny leaning toward Mary’s desk during the test. Things became even worse when Johnny’s best friend, Daniel, admitted witnessing his attempt to cheat.

Daniel also revealed a handwritten note Johnny had left beneath his desk containing history answers and Mary’s name. Unable to explain the evidence, Johnny finally admitted that he had cheated because he feared failing. He apologized to Mary and Mr. Johnson, realizing that his constant excuses had only made his situation worse.

Instead of simply punishing him, Mr. Johnson offered Johnny a second chance. After completing extra assignments, he could take another exam. Johnny accepted, began studying seriously, and eventually earned an honest grade. He learned that real intelligence wasn’t about avoiding consequences but having the courage to admit mistakes and take responsibility.
