In 1996, Zach Strenkert gained attention as a 70-pound toddler on The Jerry Springer Show. Diagnosed with Simpson-Golabi-Behmel Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, Zach faced challenges like obesity and health issues throughout his life.
At 500 pounds during the 2020 pandemic, Zach decided to change. Starting with 10-minute walks, he gradually built up to walking eight miles daily and incorporated strength training, motivated by meditation and music.
Zach revamped his diet, swapping junk food for lean proteins and nuts while practicing moderation. Now at 280 pounds, he feels healthier and attributes his progress to small, consistent steps.
Zach hopes his story inspires others, reminding everyone that resilience and determination can lead to remarkable transformation. “If I can do it, anybody can,” he says.
