Linda Thompson opens up on relationship with Elvis Presley, confirms what we all knew

Linda Thompson, who dated Elvis Presley in the 1970s, recently shared insights into their relationship, revealing the struggles behind his legendary persona. Despite his fame with hits like Jailhouse Rock, Elvis battled health issues and medication dependence that deeply affected those close to him.

Linda, a Memphis native and Miss Tennessee 1972, met Elvis after his divorce from Priscilla Presley. Their connection led her to move into Graceland, where she described their bond as multifaceted: “lovers, siblings, and best friends.”

Though deeply in love, Linda witnessed the toll of Elvis’s declining health, often staying up to monitor him. She stood by him during iconic moments, like the Aloha from Hawaii concert, but left in 1975 to prioritize her own well-being, though they remained in touch until his death in 1977.

Today, Linda honors Elvis’s legacy through memories and rare recordings, offering a poignant glimpse into the man behind the music.
